"My Garden, My Daylight": Nature Poems by Jorie Graham (2-part class)

Jorie Graham is one of the most important poetic voices of the last fifty years, often noted for her long-line style, abundant presence of thought, and persistent reference to the natural world. In this class, we’ll take a look at differing perspectives on the ‘nature of nature’ in Graham’s poetry, and engage in a short session of freewriting to finish the class. This class is a 2-week series on Tuesdays June 4 and 11.

Summer Pollinator Plant Sale

ONLINE ONLY! Wisconsin is home to over 400 species of wild bees, and more than 120 species of butterflies. As the moon rises, over 1,500 species of moths awaken, ensuring round the clock pollination and these are just the more well-known pollinators! These tiny superheroes pollinate over one-third of our food, making their health and survival a critical component of earth’s ecosystem. Every little bit helps – don’t have space to dig in the dirt – create a pollinator focused container for your patio! Director of Horticulture Michael Jesiolowski will showcase recent developments, green initiatives, plant selection, and the overcoming of obstacles, such as weather extremes and deer browse, to make the overall garden vision a reality.

Gentle Garden Yoga (6-week series)

In this series your instructor will kindly guide you through gentle, opening postures using the breath and a focused mind. Our time together will include sitting, standing, and moving mindfulness exercises and discussion in a judgment-free space using plants, flowers and the gardens as inspiration. Everyone is welcome from beginners to the experienced.
