All Are Welcome

Olbrich Botanical Gardens aspires to be a destination where all visitors, volunteers, and staff are valued and feel they belong. With conscious intent and continuous learning, Olbrich Botanical Gardens' staff, volunteers, and board will address barriers to inclusion through education, operational changes, and partnerships with the community.

Olbrich's outdoor gardens and Bolz Conservatory are wheelchair and stroller accessible. House wheelchairs and electric scooters are available to check out on a first-come, first-served basis in Olbrich's lobby. All entrances are equipped with power doors. ADA compliant, family, and gender neutral restrooms are available.

Outdoor Gardens

The wide brick and stone paths throughout the outdoor gardens have no stairs and there are frequent benches for resting throughout.

Bolz Conservatory

The tropical conservatory has wide brick paths throughout with a gradual slope leading to the second floor. There is a wheelchair pull-out part way up the slope. Benches are also available for resting.

Olbrich Tram

Olbrich's eco-friendly electric tram provides free guided tours around the 16-acre outdoor gardens for visitors, primarily those needing assistance, on a first-come, first-served basis. The tram travels in a designated continuous circular route, as tram drivers share interpretive information with the riders via a pre-recorded message and supplemental narration about Olbrich's history, gardens, and sustainable gardening practices.

Tram cannot be reserved by individuals or groups. Tram tours and services are subject to cancellation due to weather, vehicle maintenance, or at Olbrich's discretion. Donations welcome.
