Plants are great, but it's the people that make our garden special.
Feeling anxious about the state of our environment? Join Michele Chalice to discover five choices you can make this season to manage your piece of nature in a way that welcomes more life, less lawn, more pollinators, less chemicals and more hope for yourself as well as for our collective future.
Nourish your body and come alive with spring! Your instructor will kindly guide you through gentle, opening postures using the breath and a focused mind. Some postures will be restorative in nature and others will flow with the breath to break up stress and tension from everyday life. Through meditation we will bridge the mind and heart allowing your energy to feel lighter and brighter, improving your overall experience in your day to day living.
Are flowers overrated? We often focus on the spectacular blooms of perennials and annuals, but good garden design requires more than attention to flowers. Foliage is a necessary component (while flowers are not!). Join us for a walk through the gardens as we learn how to design beds and borders as well as containers considering color, shape, texture, and sheen of foliage, and learn a palette of plants that are foliage stars.
