Plants are great, but it's the people that make our garden special.
Join Deborah Chud as she takes viewers on a photo tour of her own highly unusual, Oudolf-style garden and describe the design principles underlying it. Many of the plants are unfamiliar—even to experienced and knowledgeable gardeners. These “New Perennials” were all taken from Piet Oudolf’s canon of plants, and they exhibit the qualities valued by Oudolf and his fellow New Perennialists. What’s new about New Perennials and what can they do for you? Walk through Deborah’s garden with her to find out.
With wit and intellect, Seirian Sumner redirects public fascination away from bees, beetles and butterflies towards the much-maligned wasp as she exposes their critical role as predators and pollinators in maintaining the fragile ecological balance of the natural world around us.
