Celebrate the beauty of peonies by painting your own! In this watercolor class, you will learn how to paint peonies using watercolors. Using some reference photos of peonies growing at Olbrich Gardens, you can choose your own peony colors! This class is perfect for beginners since your peony design will be printed directly on your watercolor paper. You will paint an 8x10 piece that you will be able to mat at the end of class.

Little Sprouts programs are nature and literature-based early childhood programs designed to meet the multidimensional learning and developmental needs of children ages 2-5 years. Each class is designed for children to work side-by-side with their adult caregiver as they engage in hands-on, fun, age-appropriate experiences that support the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards. Ages 2-5 with an adult; adult attends free.
Many students “fall in love” with pastels after taking this workshop! Soft pastels are fun to use, colorful, versatile, and expressive. You'll be introduced to this dry painting medium through two nature-based exercises on different papers. This workshop is also good as a refresher course for those with some experience. All paper is provided; see supply list for other required materials. Please bring a bag lunch.
