The Atrium is on the lower level of the original building. This open and airy room features glass walls and a vaulted glass ceiling framed by oak beams and flagstone walls. Potted plants draw the outdoor gardens into your event.

Atrium Rental Rates

These rates apply to private parties, meetings, functions, and groups engaged in activities in which funds are raised, admission is charged, donations are solicited, or tickets/products are sold prior to or during the activity.

Room rental rates are determined by the room, length of time of the function, and day/time of the function.

The Bolz Conservatory is available to add to your rental after public hours for evening events. Cost is $150 + tax when added to a rental.

All private room rentals are subject to 5.5% State/County sales tax according to Department of Revenue tax guidelines. Wisconsin Department of Revenue Certificate of Exempt Status must be provided if claiming tax exempt status.

Non-profits will receive a 15% discount from the listed private rental rate. Non-profit rates apply to meetings held by non-profit community organizations that are conducting official business (does not apply to retirement parties, fundraisers, etc.) which are not charging a fee, soliciting donations, selling tickets or asking an admission charge. Tax exempt number is required.

To qualify for the daytime rates, your event may begin loading in as early as 8 am and must be completely cleaned up and out of the space by 5 pm. Minimum rental is Half-Day.

  • Olbrich Gardens provides and sets up the tables and chairs for your event (excluding wedding ceremonies and vending fairs).
  • An Olbrich Staff person is scheduled to be on-site during all evening events.
  • Table cloths and dishes are not available through the Gardens.
  • All weekend evening events must conclude and be cleaned up no later than 11 pm.

As a Wedding Ceremony Site

Wedding and reception spaces (including the Atrium) must be booked together as a package on Fridays & Saturdays only (see below for details).

November 1 - March 31

  • There are three time frames to choose from for Atrium weddings.
  • 120 person capacity, including the wedding party.
  • You may use our green chairs at no cost, but are responsible for setting them up and putting them away. If other chairs are desired, you would need to make those arrangements with an outside vendor.

During peak wedding season, ceremony and reception spaces must be booked together as a package on Fridays and Saturdays only. In order to provide the best service possible, Olbrich hosts only one wedding event per day during this time of year.

  • Evjue Commons - A reception space with a capacity of 150 people from noon - 11 pm
  • Lussier Terrace - An outdoor patio adjoining the reception space from noon - 11 pm
  • Atrium - An indoor ceremony space with a capacity of 120 chairs from noon - 7 pm (6 pm in October)
  • A private changing room from noon - 7 pm (6 pm in October)
  • Event Garden - opportunity to move ceremony to outdoor Event Garden with a capacity of 120 chairs from noon - 7 pm (Garden Season only and weather permitting)
Extras Included
  • Tables and chairs set up for your reception, as you prefer
  • White chairs (120) set up for your ceremony (indoor or outdoor based on rental season)

Outdoor Ceremonies

For weddings during the Garden Season (May 24 - September 28, 2024 & May 23 - September 27, 2025), if there is good weather on the day of your wedding, you will have the option to move the ceremony outdoors to the Event Garden. Olbrich's Event Garden is beautifully landscaped with seasonal annuals and a dark wood pergola.

Please note that the Event Garden is a part of our outdoor public garden, so cannot be rented itself. It is not private and cannot be blocked off, but is an optional location to hold the ceremony on the day of the wedding. Other garden guests may pass by your wedding ceremony.

Setup Sheet

Please fill out the set-up sheet for the Atrium and return it to the Rental Coordinator no later than 7 days before your event. A set-up sheet is mailed to you along with the contract. Additional set-up sheets can be downloaded and/or printed below.
