“Move like a great river; be still like a mountain” instructs the age-old description of the meditative exercise and movement art of T’ai Chi Ch’uan. This class offers standing movements and seated practices rooted within the Chinese tradition of Tai Chi and Chi Kung for the enrichment of body, mind and spirit. All physical abilities welcome, including those in need of chair-based practice.

Spring has sprung! Come enjoy a casual walk through Olbrich gardens to view and learn about all the beautiful spring bulbs putting on a show! Stroll through various meadows and garden areas to learn about the different bulbs that are Olbrich favorites from Olbrich Horticulturist Avery. Youth and their families are invited to explore the wonders of the Bolz Conservatory at the Discovery Cart on the education patio from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on the first or second Wednesday of the month in January and February. Chair yoga allows you to be guided through stretches and traditional yoga poses while seated and standing, using a chair as a home base. The chair serves as support to your foundation and allows these positions to be more accessible. Guidance through breath exercises and meditation will be a main component of this class to enhance your overall body awareness.

Little Sprouts programs are nature and literature-based early childhood programs designed to meet the multidimensional learning and developmental needs of children ages 2-5 years. Each class is designed for children to work side-by-side with their adult caregiver as they engage in hands-on, fun, age-appropriate experiences that support the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards. Ages 2-5 with an adult; adult attends free.
