Little Sprouts programs are nature and literature-based early childhood programs designed to meet the multidimensional learning and developmental needs of children ages 2-5 years. Each class is designed for children to work side-by-side with their adult caregiver as they engage in hands-on, fun, age-appropriate experiences that support the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards. Little Sprouts Story & Stroll classes include a story, theme-related learning activities, and a stroll through the outdoor gardens or conservatory. Ages 2-5 with an adult; adult attends free.
“Move like a great river; be still like a mountain” instructs the age-old description of the meditative exercise and movement art of T’ai Chi Ch’uan. This class offers standing movements and seated practices rooted within the Chinese tradition of Tai Chi and Chi Kung for the enrichment of body, mind and spirit. All physical abilities welcome, including those in need of chair-based practice.
Create unique glass art and bring the garden inside to enjoy year round. Using a 8x8” piece of white glass as a base, learn how to create a flower or garden image by placing small glass embellishments. You will have a big selection of materials to use in creating your design so it reflects your individual style. Your final design will be fired in a kiln and available for pick up at Olbrich. Class fee includes base shapes, embellishments, and kiln firing. Larger precuts will be available for purchase. Please bring glasses and wear long pants and close-toed shoes.
