thai pavilion at duskThai Fest

Thai Fest, a celebration of Thai culture, returns to Olbrich on Sunday, September 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The free festival will take place primarily in Olbrich's Thai Garden and Pavilion. It will feature dancers and musicians from the Thai Culture and Fine Arts Institute of Chicago and Thai cultural displays and music by members of the University of Wisconsin - Madison Thai Student Association. Food for purchase will be provided by Bahn Thai, Sa-Bai Thong, and Natural Juice.

Thai Fest debuted in July 2005 with nearly 5,000 people in attendance. This year's festival is funded by the University of Wisconsin, the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association, the Royal Thai Consulate General in Chicago, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and Olbrich Botanical Gardens.
The Thai Garden reaches its peak in September, so be sure to come and enjoy the garden, colorful Thai dancers, tasty Thai food, and learn about Thai culture.
