Policies & Registration Information

 

  • Policies:  Pre-registration is required for all classes and programs.  Payment is due at the time of registration with a check, cash, or credit card. Registration is confirmed and your space is held upon payment.  NOTE: All programs will be held only if participation covers expenses.  Participants are encouraged to register early, as programs with insufficient registration may be cancelled 5 to 10 days before the scheduled date. Walk-in registration is welcome as space allows but we highly encouraged. pre-registration to avoid class cancellations. Download a Registration Form, fill it out, and mail it to Olbrich at 3330 Atwood Avenue, Madison, WI 53704.  Adobe Acrobat Reader is required.

  • Cancellations:  Courses cancelled due to low enrollment or hazardous weather conditions are refunded automatically.  You will be notified by phone if a program is cancelled; we cannot be responsible for lack of notification if you do not have an answering service. If we have not contacted you and there is a question concerning whether a program will be held on the day it is to be held due to inclement weather or other factors, call the Education Department at (608) 246-4725.  If a program is cancelled, there will be a message on the answering service if you do not reach someone in person. Registration fees are refunded only by 48 hour notice, after that fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Refund requests must be submitted to the registrar IN WRITING and postmarked or faxed (608-246-4719) within 48 hours of the program start time. Registration fees for courses grouped and priced as "series" will be considered one program and subject to all of the above guidelines. Participants will be refunded or issued credit toward a future class as preferred by customer.  Cash, check, MasterCard or Visa are accepted.  Make checks payable to Olbrich Botanical Gardens, 3330 Atwood Avenue, Madison, WI  53704-5808. 

  • Comfort:  If you have difficulty sitting for extended lengths of time in un-cushioned chairs, you are most welcome to bring a cushion for your comfort.  We make every effort to provide breaks and not ask students to sit for more than an hour at a time without a break.  It is our goal to provide quality programs at the lowest possible fee to you, so we do not provide refreshments unless specified in the class description.  You are most welcome to bring a beverage and a snack if it adds to your comfort.  If you need an interpreter, materials in alternative formats, or other accommodations, call 608-246-4550 at least 48 hours in advance.   Thank you!
